Aledo FFA students prepare, cook and deliver breakfast for AISD staff
August 18, 2020
Aledo FFA students were up bright and early Tuesday morning to show their appreciation to Aledo High School teachers and AISD administration.
For the third-straight year, FFA student officers and advisors cooked and prepared breakfast for their annual teacher/administration breakfast. The cooking and prep began at 6:30 a.m. and deliveries started just after 8:30 a.m.
“We really want to start the year off with a special treat for our teachers and let them know how appreciative we are for their impact on our FFA members,” FFA advisor Krysti Kelley said.
In year’s past, Aledo FFA has hosted teachers and administrators in their building to enjoy breakfast and give tours. This year, FFA students delivered boxed breakfast made-to-order based off orders taken the week before.
“We are excited to continue the tradition in a new way by preparing and delivering boxed breakfast,” Kelley said.
Students wheeled a cart around to make the special deliveries around the administration building and high school, earning praise and thanks for the special treat.
Every year, the pork served comes from a swine project raised by an Aledo FFA member.
