Hello Annetta Family! 

My name is Kellie Truitt and I am so happy to be teaching first grade at Annetta Elementary this year. Opening a new school is an amazing experience and it is such a blessing to be a part of it. I am so excited to get to know my new students and their families as we work together to make this a wonderful year! 

This will be my seventh year teaching first grade and my 11th year in education. I earned a BA in Elementary Education in 2014 from Colorado Christian University and earned my MA in Reading with a Focus on Elementary Education in 2018. Before I finally followed my heart back to school to become a teacher, I was a Certified Medical Assistant (mostly in pediatrics) and taught CPR, 1st Aid, and babysitting courses. 

My family and I just moved here from a small town near Denver, Colorado and we are loving living in this area. My husband and I will soon celebrate our 20th wedding anniversary and we have two teenage boys who are so excited to join the Bearcat family at the high school. In my free time, in addition to hanging out with my family, I enjoy hiking, photography and music.
