My name is Efren Martinez and I am entering my 17th year in education.  I teach Spanish 1 and Advanced Spanish 3 here at Aledo High School.  I currently also serve as an assistant fro both the Bearcat and Lady Cat Soccer teams.

I am a graduate of Weatherford High School in Weatherford, Texas.  I graduated from Tarleton State University in 2005 with a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish.  I am married to my wonderful wife, Kristen Martinez.  She too is a Spanish teacher at the Daniel Ninth Grade Center and also a part of the Lady Cat Soccer coaching staff.  We have a daughter, Grace, who is a freshman at Abilene Christian University and is a member of the Wildcat soccer team.  I am excited and really looking forward to the 2021-2022 school year!
