Ms. Jessica Chambers

Hello Walsh! I am Jessica Chambers, the first art teacher EVER here at Walsh! I have been so excited and blessed to be on the ground floor of developing a brand new elementary art program at Walsh Elementary, and bringing the world of art to your sweet children. Since I was a little one, art has been one of the great loves of my life. Being a teacher, and sharing that passion with my students has only developed that love even greater, and I am thrilled to be a part of your children’s discovery of the artist within them.

Above art, the greatest loves of my life are my three incredible children.  One of them is here at Walsh with me, and I have one in McAnally, and my littlest will join me here next year in Kindergarten. They are my joy, my miracles, and the reasons for my wrinkles, smile lines, and future gray hair! I am a foodie, an artist, a lover of all things Harry Potter, a woman of faith, a lifelong student, and currently keep Starbucks in business!

To give you a little peak at my experience and my path to Walsh, I studied art and fashion at TCU, where I graduated in 2004. Shortly after graduating, I realized that I wanted to pursue art in my life as a teacher. I went back to TCU and recieved my teaching degree in 2006. I began my teaching career in Rockwall ISD and continued it in Houston in Spring Branch ISD. A huge opportunity was offered to my family after my sixth year of teaching, so I took some time off and we moved overseas to Israel, one of the greatest experiences of my life. After two years in Israel, I was so happy to come back home to my beloved Texas! For three years I taught art at Fort Worth Academy, and now my children and I have made Aledo ISD our new school home!

I am beyond excited to get to know all of your children and hope to continue to fuel the art flames at Walsh!
