Welcome to Coder Music.  I'm excited to be starting my 7th year at Coder Elementary, and 13th year teaching music.  My goal is to introduce all K-5th graders to all genres of music, guide them to appreciate what they hear and become life-long admirers of Music and the Arts.   

Normally, in my music classroom we sing, we dance, we play instruments and we grow as musicians. Because of COVID restrictions, this year is going to be very different.

With the older grades, I'm going to focus on music history, music reading and composition.  With the younger grades, I will focus on rhythms and emotions of music.

We will not be able to have an after-school choir this year, and we will not be able to have traditional programs. I am always looking for ways to showcase student talent, and would love for them to use my FlipGrid to record themselves and share with their friends.  To find this, go to www.flipgrid.com and use my code: dc33fc.
