My name is Jamie Rinehart. I have a BA in English Literature from the University of North Texas. This is my fourteenth year of teaching; eleven of those have been served in Aledo ISD with my first two being in Crowley ISD. I teach AP Language and Composition and AP Seminar. I am an AP grader, which has made me a more proficient writing teacher. I'm grateful to have the opportunity to mold young minds. My hope is for all of my students to leave my classroom with more confidence in their writing abilities and in their critical thinking skills. While the subject I teach is important, I'm most interested in preparing them to be successful in a world that won't always treat them kindly. They will face adversity, and I want them to be comfortable with who they are, even when others aren't. In turn, I teach them to be accepting of others and open to listening and communicating with people who challenge their ideas, as this is the only way we grow intellectually. Learning how to disagree and walk away still friends is a valuable skill that needs to be taught.
