My name is Amanda Day and I am thrilled to teach Pre-AP and On-Level English 2 this year. I am passionate about cultivating life-long literacy and growing student's love for reading and writing. I graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a Bachleor of Arts in English and also completed the pre-medical curriculum. I worked in health care for ten years before answering the call to teach. This is my sixth year in education and I love it!

Outside of school, I love spending time with my husband and our three children. I enjoy cooking, crafting, and cheering on the Longhorns! We are in the process of moving to the Parker County area and this is my first year at Aledo High School. I am ecstatic to be a Bearcat!
