The ESL (English as a Second Language) program, or Emerging Bilingual program, is designed to enable and support students to become proficient in listening, speaking, reading, and writing the English language through the use of second language scaffolding and support. The program emphasizes the mastery of English language skills in all content areas, including mathematics, science, and social studies, to ensure Emerging Bilingual (EB) students participate equitably in school. The EB program is an integral part of a bilingual student's overall success in the school program.
